Andy Ihnatko Visits MUGSNJ

Andy Ihnatko is a unique, exciting and famous tech pundit in the Mac community and we are thrilled that he has come to speak to us at the Macintosh Users Group of Southern New Jersey (MUGSNJ).

He has authored a plethora of books with "Mac" in the title. He is the Chicago Sun-Times Tech Columnist, participates in the MacBreak Weekly and This Week In Tech podcasts, and is a regular columnist for Macworld magazine. These are some of his many endeavors. Andy's lifelong ambition is to win a Pulitzer.

Andy focuses his attention on the tasks ahead as Nate's new Phillies cap looks on.

Andy and Nate mug for the camera prior to the presentation.
He wouldn't trade hats...

Andy mugs for Nate after he said "No, thank you, I love my hat" to the hat trade. He had no comment about the Phillies.

They came from the Main Line, they came from Delaware, they came from Gloucester County College...

The audience waits with rapt expectation. Mac users came from near and far, including one new student member.

Former MUGSNJ president Walt Vennell makes a rare appearance to renew his acquaintance with Andy.

In spite of the uncertain weather, the loyal MUGSNJers made Andy welcome while awaiting the presentation.

The topic? There is nothing hotter in the entire digital universe than the iPad. 5,000,000 (that's millions) sold worldwide.

Lisa Rysinger, loyal MUGSNJ member, noted author, and iPad owner listens intently as Andy explains his "iPad Report Card."

The presentation focused on the iPad's usefulness, the whys and wherefors, and the competition.

The winner is the iPad. Like its predecessors the iPod and iPhone, it leads the competition.

Andy notes the four contenders, and explains why they're not really a threat...for now...

After an in-depth look at the Contenders, HP Slate, he explains, is probably the best of the four.

Ahhhh...Andy's turkey club sandwich at the diner, the gathering-place for post-meeting gossip and discussion.
